This suzani throw was embroidered in the 1940s, in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan.
It measures 154 x 164cm, and serves as a unique throw on a bed or a sofa. It can also be hung from a wall.
In the late 1950s women stopped embroidering this design in these vivid blacks and reds. Profits from the purchase of this suzani go towards reviving the use of these designs and colours in suzani embroidering in Uzbekistan through working with a group of women in Samarkand.
The throw will be posted in a biodegradable plastic bag, wrapped in recycled tissue paper and ribbon. It comes with free first class recorded delivery within the UK.
