Hand sewn by ladies from the Atlyn Kol cooperative in northern Kyrgyzstan, this cushion cover is made from heavy duty felt and features a traditional Kyrgyz design.
Shyrdaks have been made by the nomadic Kyrgyz for centuries, traditionally in the form of carpets for yurts but also for other furnishings.
The patterns featured here are the Ram’s Horn, symbolising wealth and prosperity and Soldiers, representing the protection of the homeland.
Custom orders of Shyrdaks are available. Email us for more information.
The cushion cover comes with a 24″ duck feather inner.
This cushion will be wrapped in recycled tissue paper and posted in a biodegradable plastic bag, along with a story card featuring more information about the artisans and their crafts.
